Common Issues and Solutions

The app does not appear in LG Content Store

Verify that your TV has webOS 3.0 or higher (2016+ models). TVs with NetCast or lower webOS versions are not compatible. Check the country/region setting on the TV, as some apps are not available in all regions.

Streams do not load or there is constant buffering

Try using an Ethernet connection instead of WiFi for better stability. Restart your router and the TV. Unplug the TV from power for 1 minute. Verify that the URLs in your playlist are active by accessing them from a browser.

Error playing certain channels

LG TVs with webOS support H.264 (AVC) and H.265 (HEVC). Some older models only support H.264. If a channel uses an unsupported codec, it will not play. Check the specifications for your model.

The app freezes or closes unexpectedly

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Verify that your TV firmware is up to date (Settings > General > About This TV > Check for Updates). Reduce the number of channels in your playlist if it is very large.

I cannot find the MAC address

On some LG models, the path may vary: try Settings > Network > Network Information, or Settings > General > About This TV. The MAC is also always displayed when opening the OTT Player app.
