Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about OTT Player

Does OTT Player include channels?

No. OTT Player is a player and playlist management service. It does not include any channels or channel packages. No information is provided on where to obtain them. The content you upload is your responsibility.

My MAC/ID changed after reinstalling the app

On Android 13+ or Google Play installations, the MAC address is not available to apps, so a temporary device ID is used. Avoid factory resetting to keep the same ID.

My MAC changed when switching connection type on my TV

Each TV has 2 MAC addresses (WiFi and Ethernet). When switching the connection type and restarting the app, the other MAC is activated. The MAC is unique per TV and cannot be changed manually.

I get "Server connection timeout" or "Check playlist URL"

Verify that your URL is a direct link (not a redirect) and that it is online. Try disconnecting your TV for ~1 minute to clear cache. If your playlist is very large, try reducing the number of channels.

I get "Stream failed" or "Buffering" but it works on other devices

Each TV has different supported codecs. Verify that your stream formats are compatible with your TV model. Check the manufacturer documentation for supported formats.

How do I add a playlist?

Go to your dashboard, click on Playlists, and add a new playlist by entering the M3U/M3U8 URL or uploading a file. Then assign it to your registered devices.

Can I use the same account on multiple devices?

Yes. Depending on your plan, you can use your account on 1 to 7 devices simultaneously. Your settings and playlists are synced across all devices.

What is Xtream support?

Xtream Codes API is an alternative to M3U playlists. It allows you to connect to your IPTV provider using server URL, username and password instead of a playlist file.
